Virginia (Jenny) Garrett

Virginia (Jenny) Garrett, 71, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on June 10, 2023.

She entered this world on November 5, 1951 in Corsicana, TX, born to Emmitt and Nettie Sue Petty.

Jenny moved to the area from Corsicana 15 years ago. She was a member of Caney Creek Baptist Church.

She was always up for any adventure, loving to fish, play golf and deer hunt but also loving to shop for anything. She loved her family immensely and that's where her career of selling cars, along with others in her family, began. She went on to have a family of her own, consisting of two daughters, Donna and Jennifer. Soon she would marry Tom, who everyone that encountered them knew how much they loved and doted on one another. She was loving, fun and strong which showed true in her fight with cancer and other health adversities she faced.

She is preceded in death by her parents Nettie Sue and Emitt Petty; brothers Harold Petty, Danny Petty; sister Alpha Brewer.

She is survived by her husband Tom Garrett; children Donna and husband Todd Richards, Jennifer Moore, Wendell and wife Laura Garrett, Michelle Heady; sister Joann and Joel Carico; grandchildren Megan Larue, Carolyn Zoch, Dillon Bickerstaff, Reann Stewart, Mason Huffins, Jeffery Heady, Emily Tuttle, Micah Garrett, Josiah Garrett; great-grandchildren Siniah Tuttle, Gatlin Bickerstaff, Hudson Huffins, Issac Tuttle, Brynlie Huffins, Pierce Stewart, and her lifelong best friend Virginia (Ginny) Calloway.

Visitation for Jenny will be Monday, June 12, 2023 at Caney Creek Baptist Church from 6 - 8 p.m. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery, Corsicana, TX.
