Sharon Hoskins

d. December 13, 2015

Sharon Hoskins entered the presence of our Lord and Savior December 13, 2015. Born in Dallas, Texas, she was raised in Malakoff. Sharon attended Henderson County Jr. College, earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science and History from (as she would state it) THE UNIVERSITY (UT Austin) and a Master's Degree in education from UT Tyler. Sharon was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Malakoff and cared deeply about her family and friend's relationship with Jesus Christ. Sharon had a passion for teaching, discussing politics (which also included bantering about such), the State of Texas, history, and literature. Many of her students were inspired to read by listening to her animated presentation of The Hobbit. Ms. Hoskins retired from teaching after 28 years of service in Trinidad ISD. Her strong will and courageous character helped her survive 44 years of diabetes. Sharon's quick wit and loving heart will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joyce Allen Hoskins and Lester "Pete" Hoskins. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Vicki and Gregg Wilson, beloved nieces and nephews-in-law Rachel and Ken Adams, Amanda and Ron Taylor, and grand nephews, Noah and Emerson Adams and Drake Taylor and her grand niece, Riley Taylor in addition to her best friend and caregiver, Karen Ashlock. Visitation for Sharon will be Tuesday, December 15 from 6-8 PM at Huckabee- Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff, TX. Service will be 2 PM Wednesday, December 16 at First Baptist Church, Malakoff with Bro. Jody Jones officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.tomlinsonfuneral.com
