Sammy was born in Dallas, TX to Sammy and Mary Dowdle.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Dowdle; grandparents George and Ola Dowdle; grandparents Sam and Grace Futrell; daughter Cynthia McConnell; brother-in-law Dean Douglas.
He is survived by his father Sammy A. Dowdle; children Samantha Gallup and husband Zachery, Angela Dowdle, Jonathan McConnell and wife Renee; grandchildren Zachery Gallup Jr., Amanda Maris, Jordyn Schurz, Brianna McConnell, and Christopher McConnell; sister Belinda Douglas; brother David Dowdle; best friend Rhonda Guess, and many other nieces nephews, friends, and loved ones.
Visitation for Sammy will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Chapel with funeral service immediately following at 3:00 PM.
