Ruby Delores Holt

Ruby Delores Holt, 85, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was called to her eternal resting place on December 3, 2025. She entered this world on December 24, 1939, in Malakoff, TX, born to Percy and Ruby McLain. A lifelong resident of Malakoff, Delores was deeply rooted in her community and a cherished member of First Baptist Church. She retired after twenty-five years with Texas Power & Light and then went to work for the City of Mabank.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Ruby McLain; her beloved husband, Milburn Holt; and her brother, Percy Owen McLain.

She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her memory. She is survived by her children, Wesley Holt and wife Jeanette, Debbie Pillow and husband William, DeeAnn Graham and husband Kevin, and Monica Gaddis and husband Jeff, her brother, Don McLain, and wife Shirley. Delores was a proud grandmother whose legacy will live on through her grandchildren: Blake Holt and wife Kelly, Megan Selby and husband Mark, Crystal Damron and husband Jeff, Casey Pillow, Tyler Pillow and wife Hannah, Lauren Jennings and husband Patrick, Garrett Graham and wife Katie, Clayton Gaddis and wife Ari, Colton Gaddis and wife Abbey, and Camryn Gaddis. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren and one more on the way.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10 AM at First Baptist Church, Malakoff, with a service following at 11 AM, officiated by Bro. Ed Fenton. Interment will take place at Malakoff Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Holt, Tyler Pillow, Garrett Graham, Clayton Gaddis, Colton Gaddis, and Jaxson Pillow.
