Roosevelt (Pops) Womack

Roosevelt (Pops) Womack Sr., 70. Our beloved Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather passed away on May 7, 2021.

Roosevelt was born in Longview, TX on May 15, 1950 to David Womack and Ola Lee Womack. He lived in Sand Deigo, CA. He and his family have lived in Trinidad for over 34 years. He worked for the City of Trinidad and retired after serving the city for 20 years. He was a mason. He enjoyed working in his garden, working his cows, and spending time on his John Deere tractor. He loved working on cars and could fix anything. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was everyone's barbeque man. If you came by, he made you eat. His favorite thing to do was spending time in his garage with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father David Womack, mother Ola Womack, sisters Mary Womack, Connie Fay Jones, brothers Ben Womack, Marion Womack, Robert Womack, David Womack, and Calvin Womack.

He is survived by his wife Velma Womack; sons Elvis Womack; Sherman Womack; Roosevelt Womack Jr.; daughter Tammy Lee Womack; sisters Norma Nell Womack; Carolyn Womack; Wanda Womack; brothers Lee Roy Womack; Stewart Womack; grandchildren Antywon Shofner; Montez Shofner; Marcello Shofner; Devon Thompson; Evan Womack; Stacy Womack; Jordan Wright; Jaylinn Womack; Sasha Womack; Vanecia Womack; Ramall Womack and Elaina Hysten ; Rokwon Womack; Roosevelt Womack III; Emmanuel Hysten; Barrett Senyckyj; and a host of Great Grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, 14th of May, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cedar Fork Baptist Church.

Graveside Service for Roosevelt will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Cory Jenkins officiating.

This breaks my heart! Roosevelt was the kindest man, always so friendly every single time we saw him. He will be missed. Prayers for his family.
