Ronald L. York

April 20, 1943 — June 6, 2015

Ronald L. York, 72, resident of Eustace, Texas passed on to glory early Saturday morning, June 6, 2015, at ETMC Hospital in Tyler, Texas. Ronnie was born in Olney, Texas April 20, 1943 son of the late Louie and Annie York. Ronnie was preceded in death by brothers Raymond, Robert, Floyd (Jr.), and Bodie, and sisters Lillian Mae Beasley (Sis) and Margie Robertson. Ronnie was a Master Plumber by trade and retired from Intercity Investments in 2007. Funeral Services for Ronnie will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Tool at 2 PM with Pastor and friend Ed Brennan officiating. There will be a viewing and visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Goshen Cemetery in Eustace, Texas. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carolyn York of Eustace, daughter Teresa Carrol Melton and husband Terry Don Melton of Eustace and daughter, Sandra Lynne Bobo of Lampasas, grandchildren Lisa Melton, Jeff Melton, Chad Hill, Matthew Melton and Megan Bobo, brother, J.C. York and wife, Wilma York, of Olney and sister, Betty Jean Goodwin of Rockwall, Texas, brother in law, Sidney Leverette and wife Peggy of Terrell, Texas and sister in law Barbara Tuton and husband Kenny of Lindale, Texas and many other family member and friends. He is also survived by his special 98 year young friend Tom Benton and his other special friend his dog Buddy. Ronnie loved the Lord Jesus Christ, his family, friends and country. He was a devoted husband, Dad, Papa, brother and friend. He loved his church and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Tool for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, water skiing, snow skiing, bird watching, working in the yard, traveling, country music and spending time with family and friends. As Megan, his granddaughter says, we love Ronnie to the moon and back and will miss him so much but we will see him again one day.
