It is just not everyone that can say they were raised by a York. But being one of the many children that grew up in his presence and around the York family there is one thing that I know to be true. The men loved like there was no other, they were not afraid to pray over the family, they loved country music, the outdoors, and were always there for anyone in the family when it was needed. Ronnie is like no other. He definitely will be missed but what a gift it is knowing were he is today, Right next to God and his siblings. I just have to think is it Margie or my Grandma Lena Mae who is talking faster to catch up. Carolyn, you are a fighter and your family is here for you each step of this journey. Tai Young-Shelton

I know he is in a better place, but he will sure be missed. Uncle Ronnie had a special place in our hearts, and I have always admired him for his kindness towards every person and for the way he was a pillar to this family, always willing to stand for what is right and lead. Just wanted to send condolences and prayers to my aunt Carolyn and also Teresa & Sandra. He will be missed very much.

Oh, my...where to begin. Ronnie was an amazing man. He comes from an amazing family and we will all miss him tremendously. The York men are known for their mischievousness and Ronnie was no exception. You always had to watch out for him and JC. As for myself, Ronnie became my hero on Dec. 31, l995. You see, Ronnie saved the life of my oldest and very precious grandson, Jalen Merrick. Jalen was only 13 month old and was choking to death. Jalen would not be here today if not for the quick actions of Ronnie. He will always be my hero and I will never forget him. Love to all his family, you are all in our hearts and prayers.
