Patricia Capehart

October 18, 1943 — May 22, 2025

Patricia Ann "Memmaw" Capehart, 81, passed away on May 22, 2025, in Kemp, Texas. Born on October 18, 1943, in Watonga, Oklahoma.

From her earliest days in Dallas to her final moments in Kemp, Patricia carried herself with grace and strength. She was affectionately known as "Memmaw". A name that came to symbolize warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love to all who knew her. Her presence was a constant source of comfort. She was everyone's rock and the center of many hearts. She took care of her mother for many years before she went to be with Jesus. She always told her family how she couldn't wait for the day that she gets to see her mother again. We know that today they are rejoicing in heaven together.

Patricia's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and believed deeply in His presence and guidance. She was a member at Lakeview Assembly of God for 54 years. Her devotion was not only personal but also inspirational to those around her. She lived each day with joy and gratitude, confident in the promise of Heaven. Most people knew her as Mrs. Pat or Trish Ann. She loved driving the church bus and picking up all the kids to make sure everyone could know about Jesus. Pat always shared the gospel with anyone she could. She was a God fearing woman and lived by him every day. She always told her family that God took great care of her and he has always provided.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Patricia will remember how she lit up every room she entered. Her laughter was infectious, her kindness boundless. Whether offering a listening ear or sharing a heartfelt prayer, she gave freely of herself to lift others up. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void; our world is not the same without her.

Though we grieve deeply, we find solace in our shared hope-that one day we will see Memmaw again in Heaven. We imagine her waiting at the gates with open arms, singing and dancing along the golden roads as she welcomes us home to the biggest mansion prepared for our family. Pat's granddaughter, Rachel, told her to make sure and tell Jesus you need a huge mansion because we are all coming to live with you.

May Patricia Ann "Memmaw" Capehart's memory bring comfort to all who loved her and may her legacy of faith and love continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

She is survived by her sister, Peggy Lou Oliver. Her sister in laws, that were always like sisters to her, Wilda Capehart and Mary Lou Jackson.
