Norman Wilson

Jan 2, 1954 — Oct 16, 2026

Norman Wilson, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished member of the Edgewood community, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on January 2, 1954, in Dallas, TX, Norman's life was a testament to the values of hard work, family, and the joys of simple pleasures. He dedicated many years of his life as a skilled machine mechanic, exemplifying a relentless work ethic and a commitment to excellence in his craft.

An avid fisherman, car racing enthusiast, and devoted little league coach, Norman cherished these passions as they allowed him to connect deeply with both family and friends. His love for life and his community will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know him.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, his devoted wife Jo Wilson, as well as his in-laws Charles and JoAnn Cantrel, his brothers Carl and Dean Wilson, and his sister-in-law Cherlyn Cantrel. Despite these losses, the legacy of love and dedication he cultivated during his life continues to flourish through his surviving family.

He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Haines and her husband Lonnie; daughters Michelle Smock and husband Philip; son Brandon Wilson and wife Amy; as well as his sons Jarred Wilson and Jeremy Wilson, with his wife Cassandra. Norman took great joy in being a grandfather to his grandchildren: Brittini and Dearen Winton, Rylan and Maddy Haines, Brayla and Jaden Haines, Nathan Pfoh, Carson Pfoh, Nick Pfoh and Gabby, Brea Wilson and Avery, Brooklin Wilson-Haggerty and Ryan, Brendi Wilson, Caden Wilson, Zane Wilson, Zaklya Wilson, Zian Wilson, Angel Silson, and Michael Wilson. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Carter Winton, Marlee Winton, Lincoln Matthews, Jensen Matthews, Carson Pfoh, and Emrie Pfoh.
