Norma June Petty

Norma "June" Petty was a caring wife, moter, grandmother, gret grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She passed away on January 8, 2021 in Tyler, TX.

June was born in 1927 in Waurika, Oklahoma, to James Parsons and Hessie Mae Patterson Parsons. She married Charles Leamon Petty in 1944, and they lived in Commerce and Mesquite, Texas. Weekending together for many years at Cedar Creek Land, they moved permanently to the Tool area in 1999.

June was a faithful member of Cedar Creek United Methodits Church. She particulary enjoyed being part of the "Kitchen Crew" and serving aith the food bank and weekend school food program. She wqs an avid reader and loved to walk.

Friends, neighbors, and even total strangers were the recipients of her endless kindness. "Nana" to manym, the number of people she touched in her 93 years is incalulable.

She was preceded in death by her father James Parsons, mother Hessie Parsons, husband Charles Leamon Petty, fives siters and one brother.

She is survived by her son Jeff Petty and wife BJ, daughter Cassy Day and husband Bobby, grandchildren Charles Jeffrey Petty,II end wife Brea, Kendra Kinnison, Jessica Pedraza and husband Chris Corneli, numerous great grandchildren, one great, great grandaughter and many beloved nieces and nephews.
