Melissia (Missy) Harris

July 5, 1970 — January 5, 2024

Melissia “Missy” Harris went to join the Lord in her forever home on January 5, 2024 at the age of 53. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 5, 1970. She was then raised in Mississippi by her mother, Margaret Eason, with her siblings Teresa, Norma, Keith, Steven, and Oscar. After graduating high school, she went into the army and served our country for six years. Once out, she worked at an envelope company where she met her first husband and had two daughters. After many years and a move to Texas, she met her soulmate and husband, Len, blending the two families together as one.
She is survived by her husband, Len Harris; her daughters, Faith Pieper, Julie Prachyl, Mallory Slone, Jennifer Buffington, and Tina Miller; her sons, Jonathan Pieper and Matthew Harris; her sons in love, Camden Prachyl, Chase Slone, Chris Buffington and Tracy Miller; her daughters-in-love, Jordan Harris and Kristin Pieper; her grandchildren, Jensen, Lyla, Cameron, Elizabeth, Lincoln, Kaden, Sophia, Ava, Mason, Leah, Autumn, Alissa, Jase, Nolan, MaLeah, Bryce, and Branson; her nieces Lexy Smith and Kaleigh Charanza; her sisters, Teresa Brosz and Norma Shows; her brothers, Keith and Steven Eason; her mother, Margaret Eason; and her beloved dogs, Molly, Scarlet, and Rox. She was preceded in death by her brother, Oscar Dorman.
Missy was always a confidant for her friends and family. She loved hard and cared deeply for everyone she came to know. Her love for God and her family was unmatched. The joy and happiness she had for life was contagious and she will be missed incredibly by countless people.
Her family wishes to extend thanks to everyone for continued prayers for comfort. A memorial celebration will be planned on a future date.
