You all know what your mom and dad meant to me--and Fred. He learned to love them almost immediately because they could be so much fun, and always had a comeback to one of his jokes. A good memory has always been the time the family kept John in 1965, after a car rear-ended my car. I was in the old Athens Hospital for 2 weeks, and Frances and Larry Don Estes from Trinidad kept John a week. Loretta or Lewis called Mother and said they wanted to keep him for a while. Your family kept him until I came home, and still called him JOHN-JOHN to this day! (He is 51yrs old.) I am so sorry for your pain because your mom is gone, but she was so ready. She is happy now with her soul-mate, with all her family and friends, and you will have her love to keep in your hearts forever. Think of her with a smile because that's what she would want. The pain of your loss, and the tears may last forever, but that just shows we are human, and our tears are the outlet of our pain. We love you all, Fred and Mary Carter

So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Our prayers are for your family as you go through this time. Loretta was such a giving person and will be missed. God give you that peace that passeth all understanding. God bless, Dale and Sybil

We are never ready to say good-bye to our dear friends. I am so glad that after we moved to Colorado we were able to see Loretta and Lewis when we made our trips back to Texas. Also it was so nice that they got to come see us here in Colorado along with Casey and Lettie Perry. We all took a train ride in the mountains together in the fall and ate the most delicious meal at the train station. It was a beautiful day...the sky was so blue and the trees were so pretty. We had to leave our window closed on the train to keep from getting black from the smoke. It was such a fun day. Rick, Carolyn and Kathy you are so blessed to have had such Godly parents. We will miss them . Your dear family is is certainly in our prayers and on our hearts at this time. Arvin and Carol Johnson

I was in the second grade when I lived behind Aunt Loretta. A ladder was built so I could go over the fence to visit them instead of walking around the block.

Loretta was such a special lady I meet her back when I helping taking care of her husband. My favorite memory was while she was in nursing home she shared a room with another special lady Francis. Being since I knew them both I wanted to do something for them so I made dressing and all the fixings and took it up to nursing home and the three of us sat there and had lunch together. Loretta had Abigail heart and love for family and friends and I was so blessed to get to know her and her family. She will be missed by many. May God bless her family and help to ease their pain. Love Dot,

My deepest sympathy to Kathy, Carolyn, Rick, and all of her family. I remember her so well when I was growing up in Malakoff. She was such a beautiful and sweet lady and I know she will missed by so many friends and family. I pray for strength and comfort for the family as they grieve her loss. I truly believe this precious lady is in her Heavenly home now and that you will see her again one day. May God bless all of you.
