Lora May Fowler

Lora May (Lane) Fowler Born 19 November 1928-Died 11 January 2014. Memorial service will be held 3 PM, January 18, 2014 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral, Home Hwy. 274 & 100 Tomlinson Rd. Seven Points, TX 75143 (903) 432-4441. Lora was born in Bassett Nebraska on 19 November 1928 to Ralph Lincoln Lane & Ollie Catherine (Grimm) Lane. She worked from age 14 in various jobs including a Presser/ Dry Cleaner, issued uniforms and equipment to Soldiers at Ft Sill Oklahoma, and managed a Family Farm/Dairy in Oregon. She retired at 80 as a contractor repairing coin machines for CoinMac in Dallas, Texas. She enjoyed reading, music, drawing, painting, sitting on her front porch feeding the wildlife, and watching her flowers grow. Her biggest joys in life were supporting her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and adored her great grandchildren which always brought a smile to her face. Lora spent the last 10 months in her new home at Legend Oaks Health Care where she made many friends with the residents and staff. Her family is very grateful to the staff for their expert and nurturing care during her recovery from a stroke. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph Lincoln Lane & Ollie Catherine (Grimm) Lane as well as siblings Charles Howard Lane, Marie Louis Fisher and Baby Daughter Lane. Lora is survived by Daughter Jeannie Kay King and her husband James, son Ralph Paul Fowler and his wife Sondra, sisters Ruby Marie Snyder, Ruth Mildred Neilsen, Mable Lorraine Kornack, and Elizabeth Lane. Six Grand Children: Jimmy King Jr. his wife Windy, Vern Henry King II his wife Sunnie, Charles Leland King His wife Saraih, Kevin Eugene Fowler his wife Lisa, Nicole Lyn Blake her husband Joe, Jason Lee Fowler his wife Sara and fourteen Great Grandchildren: Brittney Elise King, Isaac James King, Amanda Lynne King, Dillon Ray King, Natalie May King, Scarlett Isabella King, Angelina Rose Fowler, Zoey Star Fowler, Sarah Nicole Blake, Kaitlyn Michelle Blake, Amanda Marie Blake, Alyssa Nicole Fowler, Lucas Isaac Fowler, Jaxon Malki Fowler and one Great-Great Grandchild Leela Susan Foster.
