Lometa Smith Johnson

Services for Lometa Smith Johnson, 87, are scheduled for Sunday, March 20, 2016 2:00 pm., at Providence Baptist Church in Tool. Visitation is at 1:00pm preceding service. Lometa went home to be with the Lord and her husband on March 16th, 2016. She was born in Tool on April 26, 1928 to the late Dan and Eula Mae Peavy Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, R J Johnson, parents, brothers and sisters. Lometa was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She served many years as treasurer for the Tool Cemetery and retired as Vice President of Cedar Creek Bank. She is survived by her children: Donna Wilson and husband, Mike, Steve Johnson and wife, Mary, Judy Shipman and husband, Glenn.
Grandchildren: Donnie Hodge and wife Aubree, Dylan Wilson and wife Selina, Daniel Johnson and wife Deeann, Stephanie Loden and husband, Aaron, Jessica Clark and husband, Justin, Jacob Shipman and wife Adelina. Great grandchildren: Randi Mahoney and husband Austin, Coleman Hodge, Haley Hodge, Chance Hodge, Shilynn Hodge, Taylor Dept, Gray Dept, William Wilson, Emily Hanson, Makenna Waller, Grace Waller, Lane Loden, Gavin Loden, Taylor Loden, Lilly Clark, Zane Clark, Miranda Shipman, Aurianna Shipman and Ava Shipman. Those serving as pallbearers will be Randy Monroe, Richard Monroe, Joe Johnson, Tripp Spivey, Adam Kirkland, Martin Perez. Honorary pallbearers Marcus Jordan, Joe Ladd Skiles, Shorty Henderson, Ross Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tool Cemetery, 14392 FM 3441, Malakoff, Texas 75148.
