John Clyde Amyx, 74 year old of Seven Points, TX went on to be with his heavenly Father on August 24, 2016 at Baylor Health Care in Dallas, TX.
He was welcomed into this world on November 22, 1941 by Alberle Amyx and Gwene Giles Amyx in Denton, TX. He was a very devout Christian and member of the Church of Christ Seven Points, TX.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Lola Slough Amyx. They have three children Jeffrey Amyx and wife Sandra, Leif Amyx and wife Terry and Jennifer Altman and husband Blake. Grand children are: Anthony Amyx, Lindsie Amyx, Thomas Amyx, Dillon Altman, Josh Altman, Keegan Lorenz and one great grandchild Bella Mathison. He has two sisters Janice Nance and Jill Snider.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alberle and Gwene Amyx and by his sister Alberlyne Pennington.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points, TX. Graveside services will follow at 5:00 pm at the King Cemetery in Seven Points, TX with Dennis Kirkpatrick officiating from the Church of Christ, Seven Points, TX.
