Jerry Wayne James

Jerry Wayne James of Mabank, TX left the walks of this life Thursday, March 21, 2018 at the tender age of 80 years old while in Saginaw, TX.  Jerry was born in Paris, TX to Jack James and Nola Garner James on January 14, 1938. 
Jerry proudly served our country from 1956 to 1960 as a member of the US Marine Corp.
He married Ms. Sonja, the love of his life on July 24, 1960 in Ralls, TX.  Jerry worked hard for 53 year as a meat cutter; 45 years at Minyards  and then finished his career at Wal-Mart.  He was active in the Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Hella Shrine Temple. They moved to the Cedar Creek Area in 1991 where he became an active member of the American Legion Post 310.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
Mr. James was preceded in death by his wife Sonja James; son, Doyle Ray James; brother, Charles James and sister, Sarah James. 
Surviving family members are sons, Hoyle Barney James and wife Lori; Kevin James and wife Barbara; grandsons, Jason James and wife Melanie; Justin James and partner Kim Rodgers,  Jeffrey James and wife Jessica and Jonathan James, great-granddaughters, Taylor James and Rylee James; great-grandsons, Austin James, Elijah James and Bradley Smith, brothers, Billy James and Ray James.
Friends will be received Saturday, March 24, 2017 from 1:00pm -2:00pm, at the at the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Homes, Seven Points, TX.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the graveside service.
The family will then leave the funeral home at 2pm and go to the Tool Cemetery for Graveside service and interment. 
Pallbearers are Jeffrey James, Jonathan James, Justin James, Jason James, Nathan Johnson and Eugene Wright. 
Services are under the direction of Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Homes of Seven Point, TX.
