James Coker was a truly amazing man with the kindest soul. If it wasn't for his loving and caring nature I'm not sure I would have become the woman I am today. He taught me many lessons and showed me how to care about others more than yourself. He showed me and my family love through some very difficult times. He showed me and taught me patience, how to work hard, how to keep your word, how to be a truly humble person. He touched my life in ways I don't even think he knew. I consider it an honor to get to know such a man and have him make such a mark on my life. I'll always cherish all my moments with you James and remember and honor you for the truly amazing soul you were. Prayers for the family. A great man was lost but his mark on this world can truly never be matched.

Cheri I'm so sorry to hear about James. I know what a wonderful blessing you were to each other. No words can express how tragic this is for you, so just know I love you and you're in my prayers. If I can ever help you please let me know. You know I'm near Galveston so let me know when you come and I'll meet you. Having been through this twice, I know how difficult it is. Just take it one day at a time and know you're not alone. If you just need to talk I'm here. God bless you and your family. Talk to Donald often, he was a Godsend for me as were all of you. I love you and am thinking of you. Love you, Phyllis
