Harvey Barnett Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Harvey Barnett Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on January 13, 1940, in Snyder, Texas, Harvey lived a life full of love, service, and devotion to his family, church, and country.

Harvey proudly served in the United States Navy, demonstrating his commitment to his nation and its values. His dedication to service continued throughout his life as he became an Aviation Maintenance Manager. A 32nd Degree Mason, Harvey was deeply involved in the Masonic community, where he built meaningful relationships and fostered brotherhood.

Married to his beloved wife, Virginia, for 58 beautiful years, the couple created a warm and nurturing home in Eustace, Texas. Together, they exemplified the beauty of companionship and love. An avid hunter and passionate fisherman, Harvey found joy in the great outdoors while hunting and especially when the fish were biting. His love for nature was matched only by his dedication to his faith and his love for his family, church community.

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents Harvey Barnett Sr., Lila Mae Barnett, son Jason Barnett, sisters Sherry Massey, and Linda McCann.

He is survived by his wife Virginia, son Jeff Barnett and wife Wendy, daughter Jina Sealey and husband Chris, son Jody Barnett and wife Maggie, Daughter-in-law Jill Barnett, grandchildren; Jesse, Jake, Hunter, Jordan, Haley, Danica, Jenna, Jeremy, and William. He was known as "the best granddad ever," always present to support and cheer at their numerous activities, instilling in them the values of love, kindness, and dedication.
A memorial service to honor Harvey's life and his enduring spirit will be held at 11:00 Am on Saturday, September 12, at Clearview Bible Church with Bro. James Hall officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate his life, share memories, and pay their respects.
