H L Smith Givan

H L Smith Givan of Jefferson, TX passed away October 12, 2021 from natural causes. Mr. Givan was born October 11, 1935 to Smith and Sudie Givan of Elizabethtown, KY. May 23, 1953 H L married Shirley Vertrees and had 4 children. Mr. Givan enjoyed fishing, gardening and his grandkids and great grandchildren. Mr. Givan was a wonderful Dad, Granddad, Uncle,Husband and had a beautiful soul.

Mr. Givan is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Debbie Givan of Leitchfield, KY and his daughters and son-in-law, Sue and Robert Hall of Marshall, TX and Cathy Givan of Elizabethtown, KY. Numerous grandkids and great-grandkids, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Givan is proceeded in death by his wife Shirley Givan; His parents, Smith and Sudie Givan; His son, David Givan; His brother, Buford Givan; His sister, Margie Gardener his great-grandson, Zackary Freeman and his great-great grandson Shawn Wesley Phillips.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, October 23, 2021, 11:00am at the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff, TX. Joe Hall will be officiating.
