I've known George since we were both in grade school in Wichita Falls, TX. I'm very sorry to hear of his death, and so belatedly. I would appreciate any member of his family to contact me at my email address, especially his sister, Janie.

George and I grew up in on the same block in Wichita Falls, TX, and attended Elementary, Junior High, and WFSH; our parents were friends. I recently went online to find George's phone number when I then sadly discovered of his passing. I had intended to inform him of my father's passing. I send my condolences and prayers to his family and friends. And, especially, I am happy to know of his happiness the last few years of his life.

Want to express my condolences to George's family and friends. I just learned today of his death, and will share a few words. I met George in the 70's at SMU Law School, where we both attended. During that time, we became friends and colleagues, sharing the experience of assisting licensed attorneys to try cases - including at least two jury trials - as well as other legal work. That was invaluable experience for me, and opened a door to my later career, and I would not have had it but for George, to whom I am indebted. George graduated from SMU in '79 and I in '80. I was married, living in Dallas, and took a job in the City Attorney's office. In February of 1981 my first wife and I had our second child, a daughter, who was born with a severe heart defect that took her life a little over six weeks later. George was there for me, and when I couldn't face going back to my old job, he generously took me in as his partner. Adams & Lewis lasted less than a year - there wasn't enough work for the both of us - and while our relationship was frayed it held and I look back on that period of my life fondly now. I have seen George a handful of times over the years, and he always struck me as being the same as when I first knew him. I am sorry to learn of his passing. I will offer up prayers for him today, and thank God for bringing George into my life. He enriched me. God bless! Mark Lewis, Denton
