Frances Ruth Smith

Funeral Services for Frances Ruth (Bates) Smith 95 from Tool, TX are scheduled for Wednesday,
April 25, 2018, 11:00am at the Providence Baptist Church, Tool, TX with Rev. Steve Palmer and Rev. Danny Bristow officiating.  Visitation will be immediately before the service at 10am.  Burial will follow in the Tool Cemetery under the direction of the Huckabee Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points, TX.
Frances was born April 5, 1923 in Mabank, TX to Lonnie O. Bates and Ruth Amanda Spikes Bates.  She went to be with her Lord on April 21, 2018 in Athens, TX.  She spent most of her life as a devoted wife, mother and Nana.  She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Orval D. "Hoot" Smith; parents Lonnie and Ruth Bates, brothers Charles Bates and John D. Bates.
Frances was survived by two sons, Larry D. Smith and wife Julie of Brownsboro, TX, Rickey Don Smith and wife Jacquie of Tool, TX; one stepson Rodney Pat Smith and wife Carol of Granbury, TX; one brother L.O. Bates of Winona, TX; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, special friend and caregiver Wanda Lausier; and numerous other relatives.
