Donald "Donnie" Longacre, 69, was called to his eternal resting place on August 16, 2025.
He entered this world on February 3, 1956 in Dallas, TX, born to John Robert and Annie Mae (Schwede) Longacre. Donnie was a member of St. Peter Lutheran church since 1981. He was an Elder in the church for many years. Donnie had a hobby making wooden crosses many of which hang in his church. He also loved to give his creations away. Donnie enjoyed fishing, working and anything which allowed him to be outside. He truly cared for people and was a living example for his family. He was a strong advocate for his grandchildren and spent as much time as he could with them. His greatest joy was in caring for and providing for the love of his life, for 45 years, his wife Tammy.
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents John and Annie Mae Longacre; sister Margery Lehew; nephews Robert Lehew Jr., Jerod Tankersley; and niece Marsha Lindsey.
He is survived by the love of his life, for 45 years, his wife Tammy Longacre; son Charles Longacre and wife Morgan; siblings Ronald "Ronnie" Longacre, Karl Longacre and wife Sharon, Gerald Longacre; brother-in-law Robert Lehew Sr.; grandchildren Haygn Longacre, Michael Longacre, Taydm Longacre, Haili Jeffcoat, Chloe Jeffcoat, Triniti Jeffcoat, Essence Reynolds, Destiny Rodriquez, Claudia Rodiguez; aunts Anna Ruth Shaw, Dorothy Campbell and husband Jim; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
