Ammonie Morris

Ammonie Morris, age 92, passed away on September 6, 2026, in her hometown of Malakoff, Texas. Born on December 5, 1933, in Chico, Texas, Ammonie was the cherished daughter of Nellie Moore and a devoted wife to her soulmate, James Morris, with whom she shared a remarkable 68 years of love and partnership.

Ammonie's journey through life was marked by a spirit of resilience and a dedication to her family. She attended Texas Women's College, Her professional career at Curtis Mathis exemplified her commitment to hard work.

She is preceded in death by her mother Nellie Moore and her daughter Kathy Flores.

She leaves behind not only her beloved husband, James, but also her son Jimmy Morris and wife Mai, grandchildren Christopher Morris, Brian Matthew Flores, Samantha Flores, and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service to honor Ammonie's life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home.
